We got this to send off with our son for his college dorm, and honestly, it’s one of the cleverest little electronic gadgets we’ve picked up for his room.If you've ever tried setting up a college dorm room, you know how hard it is to predict where the outlets are going to be or how the furniture is actually going to fit until you get in there on move-in day. I recently mounted a tv in my bedroom. The cords from the tv and Apple TV were just long enough to catch the outlet. However we have a baby on the way so it’s important to get cords out of reach. This extender does the trick. The sections connect firmly and take a lot of force to take apart meaning if it’s hard for me it will be hard for a kiddo. The base plus includes caps on unused junctions to prevent little fingers from poking. Each section of the extender has holes that you could use to mount the section to the wall to putter prevent tampering. I secured the extender to the wall with the included sticky Velcro but will probably upgrade to a wall mount set up when he gets older. The extender is low profile and fits behind my dresser. Would recommend to safety minded folks that don’t want to run wire for a new outlet. Simple install and works as advertised. Very pleased.
